Face Masks and Social Distancing

Such a weird time! Half the people are wearing masks in public now here in Utah.  In some areas of the country, it's mandatory, and there is a fine if a person is outside without one.  We were given some N95 masks by Spencer's aunt last month, and Emma and I have used them a few times during our outings.  It feels so strange to wear one, but such is life right now! Here is a pic of me the first time I wore one to the store.  I put it on in the car before I ventured inside Walmart.  I'd like to get a better looking one... if there is such a thing.  Ha!

Then there's Matt who is used to wearing masks.  But even this kind is out of the ordinary for him.  Now it's a regular occurrence at work.

I took these next pics off of Facebook.  They crack me up!  Some people are so dumb... and creative I suppose.

This is just a small sampling of what can be found on the internet.

When your dad has his 77th birthday and you must obey social distancing rules, you decide to pull the family together and surprise him with a short party in the cul-de-sac with no hugs and kisses.  That's exactly what I did on April 6th.  And it turned out to be the best!  Kristen made some signs, I made some cookies, and we all sang our traditional Swedish birthday song to him.  Ja ma hon leva!  Kristen had Lori on FaceTime, so all my siblings were there.

Corona Conference

This year, General Conference was very different and unforgettable just like President Nelson said it would be.  Here are some pictures from a room in the Conference Center where each session was broadcast from.  They certainly tell a unique story.

It was truly a wonderful Conference weekend... like always.  But it brought me so much needed peace and comfort at this crazy corona time.  We were blessed to get to commemorate the First Vision by participating in the Hosanna Shout.  President Nelson announced a temple in Shanghai, China!  Can you believe it?  It will only be for residents of China, and it sounded like it will be built where there is already a place of worship for members of the Church.  So very awesome!

Here are some funny memes that came out that weekend.

Every year, I love being tucked inside our house during General Conference.  This year, we had already been tucked inside for a couple of weeks, but it was just as nice.  Chelsea and Spencer don't turn on the tv hardly ever, so this weekend was different for Piper.  The tv was turned on most of the days.  She loved it!
Josh and Megan joined us on Sunday, and that was wonderful to have them here.
