Playtime With Piper

It's so fun having Piper around our house.  She loves to play Candy Land, watch baseball with Gwampa Matt, spend time with Emma, watch movies, and go to the park for slides and swings.  She helps me make cookies and "Grammie bread".  Piper likes to play in the bubbles after I wash dishes.  She loves markers and stickers too.  The magnet tiles that I bought before she came have been a big hit.  Rabbit Tree House is fun to play too.  Piper took a liking to these old, red sparkly shoes despite them being very uncomfortable to walk in.  She hopes to buy some better ones soon. 

Our Emma Came Home

What a glorious day it was!  Chelsea, Spencer, and Piper had come from Michigan to surprise Emma who finished her mission on Tuesday, April 5.  Chelsea is pregnant and not feeling well, so she and her family stayed at home while Matt and I went to the airport.  It was so special to see Emma walk through those security doors and then give her a big hug.  What a relief it is to have her here with us!  We are sure proud of her missionary service and all the effort she gave to sharing the Gospel of Christ with the people of South Houston.  Josh and Megan were able to come visit and see Emma the next day on Josh's days off from his work.  It was awesome having all my kids together for 27 hours.  We ate good food, went to the park and to a BYU museum, and played with the new Oculus.  Scooter, their cute doggy, added to the fun.
